AV SUNDAY SETUP
-
Press the button near the bottom left of the AV rack in the Ladies Choir Vestry (room at the back of church).
-
Press the button once on the left on the front of the AV computer (under the AV desk).
-
On the 'Apps' tab of the Stream Deck, press the 'Launch Sunday Apps' button.
-
This means the main projector (white Panasonic remote in the AV computer drawer), the two side screens, the welcome screen on the column by the door (black Sony remote in the AV computer drawer), and the screen in the chancel (black Sony remote in the AV computer drawer, turn on and then launch the BirdDog app before selecting 'DESKTOP-AR8BC8U (Audience)' from the list of inputs).
-
Click the '+' button in the top left panel of ProPresenter, then select 'Planning Center Service'. In the pop-up window, expand the 'Sunday Gathering' list and select the service for today.
-
Drag the presentations needed for the service into the playlist from the 'Central Assets' and 'Liturgy' libraries. These will likely include a 'Notices Slideshow' for before and after the service, a 'Countdown', a 'Sunday Club' graphic for when Sunday Club is spoken about at the front (or a 'Kids Graphic' if it's Kids Church today), the 'Peace' slides, and a 'Sermon Graphic' if we're doing a sermon series.
-
Liase with a member of staff to find out today's scripture reading, then navigate to the 'Bible' tab in ProPresenter and type in this bible reference. Select the generated slides and click 'Save as...', then 'Save as Presentation'. Now find this presentation in the 'Scripture' library and drag it into your playlist. In the playlist, click on the first slide then, holding shift, click on the last slide to select all the slides. Now add the 'Scripture' Audience Look and the 'Current/Next' Stage Action by right clicking on a slide and choosing 'Add Action' from the drop down list. Finally, to add a title slide, right click on one of the slides and choose 'Edit Slide'. In the 'Edit' tab, click the '+' button at the top of the lefthand panel and add a 'Central Default/Main Screen Text' theme slide. Move it to be the first slide, then edit the text to display the scripture reference and the page number on a new line underneath. Go back to the 'Show' tab and add a 'Presentation' Audience Look and 'Current/Next' Stage Action to the title slide.
Next, repeat the steps above, but instead add the 'Sermon Scripture' Audience Look (you also don't need to add a title slide). Use this presentation during the sermon.
-
Check if the preacher would like any other scripture references during their sermon and add these as per the instructions in the previous section, making sure to set the 'Sermon Scripture' Audience Look on each slide.
If the preacher also has some images or a presentation they'd like shown then ask them to email them av@bristolcentral.com.
To import images, download them from Gmail and place them in the 'Temp Assets' folder in Windows File Explorer. This folder is pinned in Quick Access in Windows File Explorer, or can be manually found in 'Google Drive/My Drive/Video Projection/Temp Assets'.
For PowerPoint Presentations, download them from Gmail and open them in PowerPoint. Then go to 'File', then 'Export', then choose 'Change File Type' from the list of options, then choose 'PNG Portable Network Graphics' as the file type. Click 'Save As' and save them in the 'Temp Assets' folder in Windows File Explorer. This folder is pinned in Quick Access in Windows File Explorer, or can be manually found in 'Google Drive/My Drive/Video Projection/Temp Assets'.
Once you have the images saved in the 'Temp Assets' folder, you can return to ProPresenter. In the top lefthand panel, click on the '+' button and choose 'New Presentation' from the drop down list. In the dialog box that appears, give the presentation an appropriate name such as "Sermon Slides YYYYMMDD". Leave the 'Theme' as the default, choose 'Temp Assets' as the 'Destination' library and leave the 'Size' as 1920x1080. It'll then open up your new presentation with a single slide in it. Now head down to the Media Content panel at the bottom on the screen and navigate to the 'Temp Assets' folder from the lefthand side list. You should see the images you saved there. Click on the first image then, holding the shift key, click on the last image to select them all. Drag the images into the new presentation you made, then right click on the empty slide that was automatically generated from when you first made the presentation and click 'Delete'. Now, click on the first slide then, holding shift, click on the last slide to select all the slides. Add the 'Presentation' Audience Look and the 'Presentation' Stage Action. Finally, in the lefthand panel, drag the presentation into this Sunday's playlist and order it as required within the playlist.
-
Go through each worship song (which should've been imported automatically) in the playlist and check that the 'Worship' Audience Look and 'Current/Next' Stage Action is applied to every slide. If only the first slide has Actions applied to it, right click on the slide and choose 'Remove Actions', then 'Remove All' before adding Actions to all the slides.
Any kids songs need to have the 'Kids Song' Audience Look applied instead. They also need to have the correct theme applied. If you are importing a new Kids Song, make sure to select all the slides, then right click and select 'Themes', then 'Central Default/Kids Song Main Screen Lyrics'. This enables the Kids graphic background to be correctly displayed on the stream.
If a worship song has not imported correctly, click on the search icon on the right of the presentation in the playlist and search for the song in the pop-up window to link it.

Firstly, ask the Sound Operator to turn the stage lights on if they aren't already.
Then, head to the 'Cameras' tab on the Stream Deck. Use the arrow buttons to position the camera, and the zoom buttons to adjust the framing. Start by framing up the Worship leader. Next repeatedly press the 'vMix Input to Update' button to cycle through the different camera presets until you get to ‘Worship Leader’. Now press ‘UPDATE INPUT’ to save the current camera position to the ‘Worship Leader’ preset. Repeat this process for ‘Band 1’, ‘Band 2’ and ‘Band 3’.
